We are Mia, Sebastian and Aglaë — three friends on a mission to create a space in Vienna where people can slow down, make things with their hands, and simply be themselves. At Malma, we believe that everyone is creative, and that making art isn’t about skill or perfection — it’s about expression, play, curiosity and the joy of creating something that didn’t exist before. We also believe deeply in the healing, grounding power of making things by hand, and we want Malma to be a place where people feel safe, welcomed, and inspired.

Our art café offers a wide range of materials to explore: paints, beads for jewellery, yarn for knitting and crocheting, collage supplies, lino cutting tools, paper crafts, and plenty more. You can come in, choose a medium that speaks to you, have a coffee or tea, and let yourself drift into a creative flow at your own pace.

We’ll also be hosting a series of fun, relaxed workshops that introduce new techniques, celebrate seasonal making, and invite people to connect with their creativity in different ways.

There is no pressure to be “good at art.” What matters is enjoying the process. Whether you're a total beginner, a seasoned maker, or someone who hasn’t picked up a brush since school — Malma is for you. A space to create, to unwind, to learn something new, and to remember that creativity lives in all of us.
